透過瑜伽的修習,我們可以減少讓我們苦惱不堪的六大情感困擾:淫欲、傲慢、妄執、憤怒、仇恨、與貪婪。

這些情緒反應若 失去控制 就會成為我們心性成長的敵人,然而,每一種情感也都有存在的理由,都能加以明智地利用。

若這些能量 (負面能量)能避免向外在世界釋放,我們就可以用來輔助我們的內心之旅。

若要我們去除這些情感,但我們做不到,無論我們怎麼想,這些都是我們會體驗到的人類情感,壓抑是沒有用的。

瑜伽是要把這種情感的能量引導,轉換到更高層的目標。

百分之99的人類交流都是情感性的,而不是理智性的,要了解人類的情感,我們需要認清自我在情感中的角色,我們大多數人都會陷溺於這些情感,如撞球般在六情之間被推來撞去;

瑜伽可以幫我們擺脫這些情感的撞球桌,「教我們如何控制情感」,「如何不被情感所控制」。這樣我們就可以將情感昇華,不為境遇所奴役,並成為自己生活境遇的主宰。

在追求精神生活的過程中,我們必須訓練身體,不讓身體成為阻礙和拖累,而成為我們的朋友與黟伴。

所以,問題不是該責備誰,而是要找出解決之道。

Through yoga we are able to lessen the six emotional disturbances that cause us so much anguish, lust, pride and obsession, anger, batted, and greed. They are called negative emotions.

These emotional reactions are the enemies of spiritual growth when they are beyond our control. However, each of these emotions exists for a purpose and can be used wisely.

Indeed, our feelings have a great deal of energy, which when not directed outward at the world can be cultivated for our inward journey.

If tell us to get ride of these emotions, but we cannot. they are human emotions that we will feel whether we want to or not. Suppression does not work.

Yoga is about channeling and transforming that energy to higher purposes.

Ninety-nine percent of all human communication is emotional, not intellectual. Emotions relate not only to what we feel, but to the value we place on things. To understand the emotions, we have to recognize the role the ego plays in them. In these emotional disturbances most people become stuck and find themselves bouncing from one to the other like billiard balls.

Yoga helps in allowing us to get off this emotional pool table. It teaches us how to control our emotions so they do not control us. We can sublimate them and become matters of our circumstances and not slaves to them.

In our spiritual quest, it is required of us that we develop our body in such a way that it is no longer a hindrance a drag. but becomes our friend and accomplice. Similarly , our emotions and intellect must be developed for divine purposes.

So it is not a question of looking for blame, but looking for a solution.
